1 month, 1 week agoOne of the regular questions I get as an advisor over here at BTS is, unsurprisingly, around financial aid for US students in Europe. Yes, there are quite a number of schools in the EU that have a federal ID number, and work with FAFSA. (You can apply this filter in our database.) But this might mean that they accept federal loans, and/or accept…[Read more]

2 months agoHey BTS Family!
It’s a busy time for many of our students (and families) – many are hustling, getting down to business, and currently applying – some have already learned of acceptance for the fall of 2025. 🥳
Thrilled to say that students we advise have *just* learned of their acceptance into these schools in Europe:
*Toulouse Business School…[Read more]

3 months, 3 weeks agoHey there – Kristin from BTS over here. I wanted to share a fresh piece of news that just fell into my lap this week on higher education changes in the popular country of the Netherlands. We’ve been keeping our eyes and ears open as things are evolving rapidly in this country with regard to international students and English-language bachelor’s…[Read more]

Thanks for sharing, Kristin. I’ve been monitoring this closely, as my daughter is planning to start, most likely at University College Groningen next fall. Has BTS connected at all with any of the University Colleges to ask what they think this means for them?

Hi Tara! At this stage, across the board, Dutch universities are outraged, and protesting these proposed changes. Even Dutch companies and businesses have come together this week to protest these proposals. If you ask a university what this means, or will mean for them, right now they will still throw their hands up and say they “don’t know”. I…[Read more]

3 months, 3 weeks agoHey there – Kristin over here at Beyond the States. I’m the in-house chief advisor, and spend most of my time working one-on-one with students and families, building their Best Fit Lists, and walking them through each step of the process toward a degree in Europe.
Today, I happen to be building a list for a student who has his sights on a…[Read more]

4 months, 1 week agoI happen to be in the same boat as many of the families and students I work with, as my own daughter is in her junior year of high school, and she’s dead-set on a school and program in Italy for her bachelor’s degree. We’ll be visiting this school, and others, in Italy for spring break 2025. Exciting and nerve-wrecking, all at once. Stay tuned!

One of the universities my daughter is passionate about attending is Bocconi University in Milan. And I know that many other students in our community are intrigued by this school. There’s a lot to digest with regard to admissions at this school, and I encourage you to attend one of their open house sessions if possible. They just sent me this…[Read more]

Thanks so much for sharing this! I’m excited to hear your daughter is interested in Bocconi University. It sounds like you should do a campus visit if you get a chance!
I’m just going to add the BTS link in case anyone else is interested in checking them out and getting all the details.
