2 months, 2 weeks ago🌟 Exciting Update for International Students Interested in Studying at AAU in the Czech Republic! 🌟
AAU shared some fantastic news about a major improvement in the nostrification process—the process that ensures your previous education is recognized and equivalent to the Czech education system.
As many of you know, nostrification has been a requirement for students enrolling in Czech-accredited programs (alongside U.S. accreditation) to earn diplomas recognized in both the U.S. and the EU. While universities like Anglo-American University (AAU) assist with this process, the evaluations have traditionally been managed externally by city halls. This has often made the process lengthy, costly, and sometimes involved additional exams.
But here’s the game-changer: AAU has been advocating for years to simplify this process for international students, and their efforts have finally paid off! 🙌
Last week, an amendment to the Higher Education Act, proposed by AAU and supported by the Ministry of Education, was passed by the Chamber of Deputies. This amendment allows institutions like AAU to handle the recognition process in-house—making it faster, simpler, and completely free of additional fees or exams! 🎉
This change is expected to take effect in January or February 2025, pending approval by the Senate and the President. It’s a significant step forward, making it easier for international students to pursue their dreams of a globally recognized education in the Czech Republic.
Stay tuned for more updates in the new year, and feel free to share your thoughts or questions in the comments!
