Hi everyone! I am new here but I was wondering how hard was the student visa process? Anything I should know going into this?

    • Hi Jared! To apply for a student visa in Europe, you’ll first need an acceptance letter from a recognized institution and in some cases, such as Germany, proof of funds to show the country that you’re able to cover tuition, living expenses, and cost of living in general. Each country sets its own minimum financial requirement, so it’s best to look into how much you’ll need saved depending on the country you’re interested in studying in for your degree. Health insurance in the country you’re planning on residing in is also usually required, with many student taking the route of a private healthcare plan. While this might sound expensive, many healthcare insurance plans, such as TK in Germany, have a discounted rate for students. In general, for obtaining a student visa, it’s best to have a biometric photo, your health insurance certificate, visa application paperwork, passport, university matriculation certificate, and proof of funds (many ask you do this through proof of a “blocked account”), prepared prior to your visa appointment.
